The North-east shoreline of Scotland is bracing itself to host the world's full-scale floating wind farm. The farm will be situated around 15 miles off the drift and will gloat five turbines to give 30 megawatts of vitality and power 20,000 homes on the whole.

Leif Delp, Director of the £190m extend Hywind clarifies the goals,
"to demonstrate the feasibility of future commercial, utility-scale wind farms".
He included: “This will further increase the global market potential for offshore
wind energy, contributing to realize our ambition of profitable growth
in renewable energy and other low-carbon solutions.”

Every turbine in this super project has an height of 175m and weighs 11,500 tons. They utilize a vast float to stay erect and utilize new blade innovation to make twisted blades to decrease the effect of wind and streams.
